Ever wondered who the people are who get to decide on the fate of your submitted article? And those who’s brainchild this site was? And even those who provide the daily maintenance?
Let’s take a peek…
The Panel
The Panel is formed of four guys all interested in Politics. Two of the Panel (Duncan and Harry) are from the left-wing of the British political spectrum and the other two are on the right-wing (David and Taylor). Below we’ve put a bit about ourselves…
I’m a Politics Undergraduate at Royal Holloway and a member of the Liberal Democrats. I’ve been interested in Current Affairs and Politics since I was about 13 years old but didn’t join the party political fray until 2009. I like to keep abreast of events both political and non-political in several countries, including: Ireland; the USA; Canada; Australia; and the UK. I am also an avid Political Historian of the 20th Century.
I’m a gap year student going on to study History at Cambridge University this October. I have worked for the Centre for Policy Studies, the Institute for Economic Affairs, and the Back Boris Campaign. I also regularly contribute to The Freedom Association blog and other Liberal/Conservative minded blogs.
I am an undergraduate at Keble College, Oxford, studying PPE (Politics, Philosophy and Economics). I am also a Liberal Democrat, because I still believe, despite and indeed in light of the coalition government, that they are the most progressive and least blindly ideological political party. My main interests are constitutional affairs, in particular devolution and the voting system; and economic policy.
I’m an International Relations Undergraduate at the University of St. Andrews. Back at home in the South of England I’m a Vice-Chairman of my constituency’s Conservative Future branch, and I’m fascinated by the debates around international development, globalisation, conflict and interdependence.
The Tech Team
The tech team keep the site from exploding and destroying the net as we know it. They provide services to the Panel, which include back-end maintenance and front-end branding, and things which the Panel don’t know how to do such as create accounts, javascript, put up the ads, create and maintain those nice submit boxes you see and much more.
As a result the Panel thought they deserved a mention and the following mini-bios.
Peter is an A-level student hoping to eventually do Medicine at university, but is happy to rule the technical world of this site in the meantime. Peter provides support, and deals face-to-face with the Panel, and is responsible for tasks such as user training, and presentation coding.
So there you have it! We hope you enjoyed getting to know us a bit and hope that you will keep coming back here contributing in some way!

David
